Behind The Hole: Onslaught!

I sat down with Onslaught this week in The Geekhole Studios, looked him right in the eye, and asked him the hard questions–

 

What’s your first gaming memory?

My first gaming memory goes back to a side-scrolling dungeon crawler that I had for the Commodore 64. I have no idea what the name of this thing was, but I can remember wasting a good bit of time running through that thing.

 

What is your favorite/most enjoyable game you’ve ever played?

This is a little odd for me to answer in that most of the games I’ve picked up and played for any amount of time were great games to me, but what really makes them really stand out isn’t the game itself but the fun I get while playing with other people. RTCW:Enemy Territory and WoW both stand out and big winners here as I have played both a ton and have some really good memories from both. Magika was another one that was surprisingly fun.

 

Any Non-Gaming hobbies?

My wife and I breed Australian Shepherds and love the breed. We actively compete in conformation shows when our schedules allow for it. Feel free to check out our little patch of digital grass in the internets @ http://excaliburaustralianshepherds.com/

Family? Pets?

Just me and the Wife with our dogs. Currently the are 4 adult dogs, 2 juveniles just under a year old and a new litter of puppies which are turning 6 weeks old soon, and 1 tortured cat who puts up with a lot of dogs.

 

What kind of site-related work do you do?

I am a Software Developer by trade, doing most of my work with web technologies, so maintaining all of our web-related tools is my domain, along with some of the site design and specialized tools and widgets that we have out there were created by me. I also provide the hosting for the site.

 

How did you get started in that?

Its part of what I do for a living, so it is something that I kind of naturally fell into. It helps maintain costs as well since I already have sites hosted on the web, so hosting extra content is a lower cost for me then it would be for a completely new server setup. I’m also management oriented and pretty easily reached for support if something happens with the site.

 

How did you get involved in Ascension/The Geekhole?

I am one of the founding members. There were a group of people that gamed together playing Enemy Territory and at some point we decided to branch off from that community and form a new one. We’ve been going ever since.

 

Fuck, Marry, Kill: Rustee, V, Kormus

Hmmm… Lets see, I’d have to Fuck Kormus since he’s always fucking robots, he’s ass would be the tightest I believe.

I’d have to Kill V, as if I married him and we got into an argument he’d try to argue back at me while doing an impersonation of me at the same time so I’d still end up killing him.

Last but not least, I’d would be left with Marrying Rustee. This would be a tough call between marry and fuck for Rustee and Kormus. Kormus is the most laid back as long as you keep a steady stream of pot flowing his way and Rustee would be the easiest to get into bed, just a Zima and a sweet word or two and he’d be bending over like nobody’s business. But Rustee is jovial enough to keep me entertained through the rest of it I guess.

What Class/Advanced Class do you play in Star Wars?

Currently I play a Sith Warrior/Juggernaut or I’m a up-close and personal tank. Loving the story behind this guy as well.
